Large, rusted, white dredging structure with several small windows and an attached crane-like arm sits among lush green foliage. Did You Know?
The Coal Creek Dredge in Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve collected over 92,000 troy ounces of gold while in operation from 1936-1957, including several years of non-production during times of war. When inflation is taken into account, the gold produced totals of more than $180,000,000.00.
