  • Hike the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail! This trail follows the beautiful Cook Inlet, through Earthquake Park, and all the way to Kincaid park. The well maintained pathway is perfect for a nice walk, jog, bike, or roller blade. Visitors may see a variety of birds, moose, and native plants.

  • The Turnagain Arm Trail in Chugach State Park just off the Seward Highway south of Anchorage offers superb views of the Turnagain Arm. Take a lunch and have a picnic at McHugh Creek picnic area.

  • Hike Flat Top Mountain, also in Chugach State Park, for some incredible views of the Alaska Range, Cook Inlet, Turnagain Arm, and Anchorage. The mountain's accessibility makes it the most-climbed mountain in Alaska.
