Looking for a unique opportunity to combine your expertise as a teacher and gain valuable experience as a park ranger?

The Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center offers an exciting Teacher to Ranger to Teacher (TRT) program that allows public school teachers to become interpretive park rangers. Teachers spend the summer working at the Alaska Public Lands Information Center in Anchorage, participating in a variety of duties that suit their interests and the needs of the center. They relate their experiences as a ranger with students and staff at their school. During National Park Week, teachers wear their uniform and present park-related activities to their students.

Teachers gain valuable information about our public lands as they perform an assortment of duties at the center. They can help provide meaningful and enjoyable experiences and encourage others to protect our natural resources and public lands.
