The Alaska Public Lands Information Center (APLIC) offers trip planning information and displays of beadwork and animal and fish mounts
Summer Hours: June 1st to Labor Day

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. 

 

Winter Hours: Labor Day to Memorial Day

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  

 

*The Tok Center is closed on weekends and holidays.

The area encompassed by Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve is wilder today than it was 100 years ago. Many small cities sprang up along the Yukon River as gold was discovered, but then disappeared as quickly as they were built. Now, the Preserve is wild, with only a few year-round residents.
