See Brown Bears at Katmai National Park and Preserve

The Alaska Peninsula has the highest concentration of brown bears in the world, and a prime viewing spot is Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park and Preserve. Fly into Brooks Camp and get briefed on bear safety by a ranger before you go out exploring. There are viewing platforms, hiking trails, and a bus tour out to the volcanic Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. A campsite is available, but books up quickly.
