Daily summer programs have been limited for Summer 2022 but we are excited to bring live animal presentations from the Alaska Zoo back to the theater!

Meet live animals from the Alaska Zoo! Animal handlers discuss the biology of a featured animal. Past animal visitors have included: red fox, porcupine, moose, musk ox, wolf pups, sea otters, flying squirrel, and a dall sheep lamb.
We look forward to an exciting lineup of additional programs in 2023!
Sundays: Women of the Wilderness
Join us on Wednesdays to celebrate the acheivments and contributions women in Alaska have made to science, wilderness, and history.
Mondays: No One Eats Like We Do
Today, as in the past, many Alaskans live off the land, relying on fish, wildlife and other wild resources. Subsistence, and all it entails, is critical to sustaining both the physical and spiritual culture of Alaska Native peoples. It is an important tradition for many non-Native people as well.

Fridays: Coffee with a Scientist

What goes great with coffee? Science! Join a scientist each week for a special program about various Alaskan science topics including, but not limited to; glaciers, volcanology, wolf biology, archaeology, climate change, plant physiology, and wildland fire science. Refreshments will be served.
Saturdays: Bird TLC Live Bird Demo
Visit with a Bird Treatment and Learning Center presenter and a live Alaskan bird! Bird handlers discuss bird life, habits, and habitat while you view a feathered friend up close and personal.
